Will Writing and Lasting Power of Attorney

Wills

The cost for a single Will is £300.00 plus VAT, totalling £360.00.

We must also carry out an Anti Money Laundering ID check which costs £11.26

The work consists of the following:

  • Meeting with you to obtain your instructions and requirements.

  • For homeowners, checking the ownership of your property at HM Land Registry. There is an additional disbursement of £7.00 payable to the Land Registry to retrieve an Office Copy Entry. 

  • Preparing a first draft of the Will and sending the same to you to check, with a covering letter explaining the content in more detail.

  • Making any minor changes that you may require.

  • Preparing the engrossed (final) version of the Will.

  • Meeting with you to supervise the execution (signing) of the Will.

Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)

Our standard price for completing one LPA is £350.00 plus VAT, totalling £420.00.

Two LPAs will cost £600.00 plus VAT, totalling £720.00.

The disbursements include a court fee of £92.00 and an Anti Money Laundering ID Check Fee of £11.26.

Grand Total for 2 LPAs: £823.26

The work consists of the following:

  • Meeting with you to discuss your LPA and taking instructions.

  • Obtaining land registry entries for property owners

  • Drafting the LPA for your approval

  • Making any changes that you may require.

  • Meeting with you to witness your signature on the LPA forms and to act as your certificate provider.

  • Storing the original LPA in our office safe.

Payment on Account

We will request a payment on account at the outset of the transaction, currently £100.00
